Thurmond Lake is located in a rural area on the Savannah River. The closest towns are Abbeville and McCormick in South Carolina and Lincolnton in Georgia. The lake has an area of 70,000 acres and 1200 miles of shoreline in Sumter National Forest. It abounds with good fishing, boating and wonderful people.
