The course material includes four main chapters, which cover:

·   Boat Education: General information about boats and personal watercraft, and their maintenance

·   Boating Safety: How to make your boating safer and more comfortable

·   Boating Law and Regulation: Laws and regulations that you must follow.

We teach a minimum of two courses a year to the communities of Abbeville and McCormick in South Carolina and Lincolnton  in Georgia. These  are usually taught during the spring and fall of the  year. To become a member of  our squadron, one of the requirements is to have passed a qualified  course such as this America's Boating Course.

The course teaches the basics of safe boating including  instruction on rules of the road, boat handling in normal and adverse  conditions,  required and recommended equipment, federal and state boating  regulations,  basic  knots  and hitches, and many other valuable topics. More than 3 million people  have completed a USPS Squadron Boating course.
